PLUG-IN HEBRON
PLUG-In Hebron is an initiative aimed at an active, civic-led reclamation of militarised public spaces, centred around a workshop, research lab and community venue, sited in a previously-defunct vernacular building and further across other strategically chosen sites in the Old City of Al-Khalil / Hebron, Palestine.
The proposal was created in collaboration with the Hebron Rehabilitation Committee (HRC) as part of the Building Sumud Project. It won first place in the [UN]Restricted Access international design competition in the Small Scale Interventions category and was exhibited at the 2012 Venice Architecture Biennale.
